28mm Female Miniature Heads

Mar 12, 2014  Female Imperial Guard. This morning I was doing the rounds of the forums, on the Imperial Guard Message Board I came across a new thread from Brother Vinni's Studio. This is the first time I have ever seen models of female troops for wargaming that are a realistic portrayal of female soldiers. Models that I would be happy for. Imperial Guard Message Board (IGMB) Astra Militarum. Painting and Conversions. Female Jungle Fighters by Brother Vinni (NSFW) General. Beginners Board. Picture Post. Painting and Conversions. Imperial Guard Conversion Guide. First set of 'Female Brigade' 5 models in box. Heroic 28 mm scale, resin casting.

I haven't actually got round to making the models, but I've been planning to build some female guard at some point. My approach when thinking about this was to make a model that had a feminine physique but looked like a functional soldier rather than a pinup. It's certainly true that you could go for a simple headswap, as in reality, most details will be hidden under baggy fatigues and armour plating, ( and ). If you'd prefer to field an army of women that dress like Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, you might want to look at the Dark Eldar Wych models and the Necromunda Escher figurines. I do once remember seeing a sculpt of a woman who was butt-naked apart from her boots and missile launcher, so perhaps you could chase that up too. Anyway, here's my thoughts for something in the middle of the two.Firstly, I find that the standard Cadian legs far too beefy, and prefer the Tau Fire Warrior legs, which taper towards the hooves and have a thinner waist. They also have enough plating and bagginess to look like they're meant for use in a warzone.

You'll need some Cadian legs for a boot swap ( an example) - you may also want to trim off the sole to try and match the proportions.Next up, I would use the Cadian torso, which is a bit larger than the Tau one. You may want to cut off the bottom (just above the belt) and rebuild the waist with green stuff so it matches up better with the Tau legs. The difference in proportions here is beneficial (in theory, anyway) - the chest plate should look more like it's being pushed upwards and outwards. I'd also smooth over the gap between the pectoral plating with green stuff to make it look a little more roomy. The next part is reducing the broad shoulders of the model. This is where I need to experiment - perhaps you could shave down the shoulders of the torso piece or use the Tau arms with a hand and weapon swap, or maybe it's just a matter of trimming down the Cadian arms a little, as those armour plates widen the mini considerably. A slightly frustrating detail is that heroic scale enlarges the hands of miniatures, so your mini may look like she has sausage fingers, but it's not the end of the world. For heads, it really depends what kits you can find.

I agree with the others that the Arcadian figurines look excellent, and you can also buy a set of the heads separately for converting purposes. That's pretty much it! Hope it's of some help, I can't say it's tried and tested.

You could always ally in a small force of Battle Sisters. They get pricey easily, though.HQ - CanonessTroop - 3 Bolter sisters, 2 flamer sisters, 1 superior, 1 ImmolatorFast - 4 melta sisters, 1 superior, 1 Imagifier, 1 ImmolatorHeavy - 1 ExorcistCost: about 275USD for 550 points of Adepta Sororitas. We also have an active thread on the Battle Sisters forum about conversions and 3rd party options. On the last page there is some discussion along with pick about heads from. You could used their heads on IG models or just pick up some of their full models.

Thank you all for your tipsAnd may i further explain myself My dear gf is a very beautiful girl whom I love immensely and who almost certainly would hurt me quite a lot if I did a model of her with massive breasts bursting out of a corsetSeriously though, thank you all for your input. I'd already looked at the Last Chancers character (Rocket Girl), bit she and the necromunda stuff are a bit dated for my purposes tbh.

I was also never any good at converting metal:S. Still, there is always hope that GW will redo them again Dataslate for them anyone?I didnt know about the female soldier in the Tanith set.

I shall peruse.Has anyone had any luck humifying the heads of filthy xenos creatures? Some of the DE heads look as though they might have potentialEdited by Toomanyprojects, 02 February 2014 - 03:54 PM. Also, I think there was a female Catachan. With a grenade launcher. I'm not sure. There certainly was Click on this e-bay link to find her:Also there is a rumor that the next box with IG troops is going to be a mix of male and female models, like the new High Elves box with Shadow Warriors. That's cool that there some old female guard models but.

Yuck, those are some ugly models. It would be great if the rumors are true about the upcoming guards if for no other reason than variety's sake.
