The following steps will help you set the language type in PowerPoint. Step 1 − Under the Review ribbon, in the Language group, click on Language. Step 2 − If you have not selected any content, you will be able to just set the Language Preferences. I want to change the proofing language of all my slides in a Powerpoint. I've tried setting the language via the Language Preferences menu, however this only changes it for new powerpoints.

Sorry - I was misremembering & had no option at the time to test in Office 2004. However, what will help a bit is if you switch to eitherOutline View orNormal View with the Outline Pane displayed. Click in the Outline, keyCommand+A, then go to Tools Language to make your change. Again, it will do no good to click default unless you want to set the Language to be used in new presentations.That will update the Language formatting for all text contained inTitle, Subtitle &Buleted List Placeholders.
